Public bug reported:

Steps:
 1. Change the hostname of the computer
 2. Open a graphical application

What happens:
The application doesn't start because it is not able to connect to the xserver. 
Of course, if I revert the hostname all works fine.

This is the output of the command `gnome-terminal`:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
