Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
I use the nvidia driver to have a TwinView display on two identical LCDs. Under metacity, dragging a maximized window by the titlebar causes it to "unmaximize" to follow the mouse. Dragged from one display to the other, it automatically "remaximizes" to fill the screen. This behaviour is the same in compiz. I have two GNOME panels on one display, and none on the other. This means a "maximized window" is a different size on each display. Under metacity, dragged windows remaxmize but *also* resize to fit the new display. Under compiz, the window does not resize until after the mouse is released. To recreate: 1. Drag a maximized window from a TwinView display *with* GNOME panels to a display *without* panels. 2. Observe that the window remaximizes, but *does not* resize. The desktop or windows below are visible through "ghost spaces" to the sides, top and/or bottom of the window. 3. Release the mouse button. The window resizes to the proper size. The metacity behaviour is much more sensible, and it would be nice if compiz emulated it. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Maximized windows don't resize when dragged between TwinView displays https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/159891 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
