Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-impress

I create a presentation using Impress. I use some effects on every
slide, mostly some simple text rolling and so.

During presentation mode, the performance slows down after every effect
taken. After some 20 effects on Athlon3800+ or CoreSolo 1,87GHz, all
other effects are mostly useless due to severe performance loss.

Even if I exit the presentation mode, the CPU remains extraordinary
busy. Saving the document takes easily tenths of minutes instead of a
few seconds.

The CPU calms down only after exiting all instances of OpenOffice.org

Even effect previews during editation mode behave like this. It seems
that every effect keeps running something on background, even after it
should already have finished.

The bug affects only Gutsy. Feisty booted from CD works WELL.

Interestingly, the bug affects Debian Etch too. However, after installing the
OpenOffice.org 2.3 original package from OO.org, the problem disappears.
With Ubuntu, the problem persists even with original OO.org package.

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
