Public bug reported:

Dear friends..
I'm trying hard to install Kubuntu/Ubuntu 7.10 on my notebook HP DV6000
(DV6208nr).
I tryed to start installation wiht noapic, irqpoll and noirqdebug, but the
system freezes the note while performing installation.
The command that allows me to install the system is acpi=off. But after
installed, the behavior is very strange. It seems that the commands are "tied"
to the mouse. If I do not move the mouse, the system remain freezed. If I move
the mouse, the command I ask is executed.
It is impossible to install the Nvidia drivers as well. I tryed the Nvidia
driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.11-pkg1.run) and the proprietary driver too.
After installed the system crashes and a message "Bcm43xx driver load fail or
not present" appears.
The other option I tryed is the web upgrade. It does not work either..
I have even tryed to upgrade the bios to the version F.3A.. Nothing happened..
I have many contacts that are facing the same problem..
So, I decided to roll back to the 7.04 that is working perfectly..

Thanks for your attention.
