[Bug 161094] Re: knetwalk uses incorrect win conditions

2008-07-08 Thread Harald Sitter
In my humble opinion this is a perfectly fine behavior. Like considering the wire is a fiber, which isn't exactly cheap I would want ever single piece of it used in order to be cost efficient ;-) I am closing this bug as won't fix, as we - Kubuntu - are really not going to change the behavior

I can confirm this behaviour in Gutsy. I attach two screenshots. The first shows the game with all monitors abright, but some loose wires, so Knetwalk doesn't accept it. And the second screenshot with the same game but all wires attached. ** Attachment added: Schermafdruk-knetwalk-1.png

It seems that knetwalk not only checks that all computers are connected to the server but also that all wires are too connected, so every square on the board is connected. I observed this behaviour in Gutsy if I left some wires to connect. For the moment I had not encountered a game with more

** Description changed: Some games have multiple possible solutions, but knetwalk apparently only accepts one. The attached screenshot shows a game that I recently solved, but knetwalk thinks that it's still unsolved. I'm reporting it here because I haven't been able to find an upstream
