Since the files in the two packages don't overlap, no, there should be
no problems at all when upgrading from dapper. In fact, the
Conflicts/Replaces in the Debian package are also obsolete and should be
dropped, but there's no need for Ubuntu to diverge from the Debian
package for this reason alo

Upon inspection, the current version of libxclass0.9.2 doesn't contain
any files that overlap with the libxclass0c2a package in older Ubuntu
releases (the last libxclass0c2a in the archive was 0.9.1-1ubuntu1,
which contained /usr/lib/libxclass.so.0.9.1, not
/usr/lib/libxclass.so.0.9.2). Perhaps th
Hi Steve,

problems when dist-upgrading from dapper to hardy (LTS2LTS).
(http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/libs/libxclass0c2a) or am I wrong?

Unluckily, your debdiff does not include Debian Maintainer field adjustment (as
per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField).
Could you please provide a new one and subscribing ubuntu-universe-sponsors
when ready? Thank you.

I noticed your debdiff lists some changes in
lib/libxclass/OXHtmlParse.cc and lib/libxclass/OXHtmlSizer.cc files. Are
they required? If so, you should adjust debian/changelog to reflect such
change.

This is pretty much ready to upload. The only problem is that since
you're making changes to the Debian package you should modify the
maintainer field as per the Debian Maintainer Field spec:
As with your ldtp merge, it's nice to attach a debdiff ag
