i have the same problem with my pc. when i boot ubuntu 7.10 64bit, i get a
"timeout waiting for dma" error and "drive not ready"
and i tried the "ide=nodma" boot parameter, it still doesnt work
specs:
athlon 64 x2 4800+
asrock alivenf7g-hd720p r2.0
1gb kingston ddr2-800
80gb seagate sata hard dis
Hardy Tribe5 exhibits this as well. I wanted to test the sparc tribe5
release on my SunBlade 150, but it ignores the ide=nodma settings.
