I also have problems to get Atheros Wireless AR5007EG working on my Ubuntu Gutsy 64bit. I don't know if it's the same problem. Anyway I saw that there are working wireless driver (or patch) both with ndiswrapper (net5211.inf) or with madwifi: anyway these solutions only works on 32 bit systems.
