Public bug reported: While trying to identify processes that are causing system wakeups while idle, I observed that gpg-agent is waking up on a pselect about every 2 seconds. I observed this activity using health-check and monitoring the gpg-agent for 5 minutes on an idle system:
sudo apt install health-check sudo health-check -p gpg-agent -c -f -r -d 300 Attached is a log of the output analysis from health-check Should gpg-agent be that busy for an idle machine? Unnecessary wakeups break a CPU from the deepest sleep states and this consumes power. ** Affects: gnupg2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "gpg-agent.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1627414/+attachment/4748198/+files/gpg-agent.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1627414 Title: gpg-agent is waking up on a pselect about every 2 seconds on an idle system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnupg2/+bug/1627414/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
