Public bug reported:

For example: I want to download a file. The suggested path by the dialog
is /home/user/downloads/project1/. But I want to save the file to
downloads, preserving the suggested name. So I click on 'downloads' as a
parent directory in the breadcrumbs - and now I click save. I'm
redirected to project1, again, instead of the file being saved, because
project1 is selected. It is not even possbile to deselect project1
somehow (for example by clicking on some white space).

The only way to save it in downloads is to click on user, click on
downloads (NOT in the breadcrumbs), and NOW click safe - it works
because project1 is not selected.

I hope you get what I mean. You can of course try the same thing using
Gedit for saving a file or any other gtk program...
