Public bug reported: The GLFW library exists in two versions: 2.7.8 and 3.1.2. Those two versions can be installed in parallel... but for the libglfw3-dev conflicting with libglfw-dev (which should be named libglfw2-dev).
There is no file conflict: GLFW 2.x uses /usr/include/GL/glfw.h, while GLFW 3.x uses /usr/include/glfw3.h Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS libglfw3-dev 3.1.2-3 What I expected: * libglfw-dev and libglfw3-dev can be installed together What happened instead: * selecting libglfw3-dev after libglfw-dev is checked unchecks libglfw-dev * selecting libglfw-dev after libglfw3-dev is checked marks libglfw3-dev as invalid ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: libglfw3-dev 3.1.2-3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-45.66-generic 4.4.21 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-45-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_uvm nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Fri Oct 21 19:34:04 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-01-23 (1002 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 "Saucy Salamander" - Release amd64 (20131016.1) JournalErrors: Error: command ['journalctl', '-b', '--priority=warning', '--lines=1000'] failed with exit code 1: Hint: You are currently not seeing messages from other users and the system.
