Public bug reported:

For a while now, Nemo has seemed fairly fragile; I think at least once
each session it becomes unresponsive, and shortly disappears. Maybe 4-5
minutes later, a window will appear saying "No such Directory" (or some
such wording). I don't think that the window identifies itself as
belonging to Nemo, so perhaps it does not - but it never appears except
after a Nemo crash.

This time, I was opening a file - "Open with...", as this is a new
Lubuntu install, and I was "training" Nemo ("Other Application"..."Set
as Default") that a .jpg file ought to be opened with eog (Gnome's image
viewing program), and not with Firefox, with which it thought it ought
to open it. I clicked on "Set as Default", and then on "OK". The "Open
With" window disappeared... and so did Nemo.

Since I practically just started using the computer this evening, I thought it
possible that Nemo might crash again, so I have started it from the Terminal,
and if it crashes again, I will add the terminal output to this report.
While I was in the middle of ubuntu-bug and then restarting Nemo, there as
usual came the "No such directory" window. If it comes back, I may screenshot
it and include it as well, although I don't really suppose it will be useful...

By the way: when I re-started Nemo, I went to the picture and right-
clicked on it; its default opening application had been changed to eog,
so the crash happened AFTER the opener had been changed from Firefox to
eog, but BEFORE Nemo handed off the file to eog (picture was never
displayed).

[with the re-opened Nemo, I right-clicked on a .png file, and "Open
with..."'d eog --> "Set as Default" ---> "OK", and everything was fine
==> eog opened the picture. Nemo is still up.]
