I had a similar problem as the one described here. I resolved the issue
in my case by updating the distributed ejabberdctl apparmor profile as
described at http://askubuntu.com/questions/865578/is-there-a-way-to-
override-a-hat-child-profile-in-an-apparmor-local-override-fil
