Public bug reported: With a Trusty server configured with backports enabled, I met this problem :
-installed Apache2 -installed subversion -installed libapache2-svn Apache won't start, in version 2.4.10 : apache2: Syntax error on line 140 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/authz_svn.load: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_authz_svn.so into server: /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_authz_svn.so: undefined symbol: ap_hook_force_authn I have deactivated the backports, then removed and reinstalled Apache, this time it comes in version 2.4.7, and is working fine with the SVN module. Apparently Apache version was too recent, and not compatible with the 1.8.8 version of Subversion. ** Affects: subversion (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1639809 Title: Problem with Apache & Subversion versions in Trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subversion/+bug/1639809/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
