So is this issue (Configure VPN grayed out and the "Disconnect

I'm also going to add to this.
I have just done a clean install of 16.04 LTS and OpenVPN connects
intermittently. Despite installing openvpn, network-manager-openvpn,
and network-manager-openvpn-gnome, the "Configure VPN..." option remains
grayed out.
In addition, after creating my VPN profile v

I have the same problem mint 18.1 16.04 it came in the update manager
we really need to fix this vpn disconnect and configure
I know if I reinstall the OS from a iso I have it will fix it but it
would be a older network manager a lot of trouble
would have watch out for these updates to stop
This happened to me on 16.04LTS through normal updates.
