I'm also getting this problem, it seems to be also affecting how Firefox
displays some pages (some fonts on some pages don't display, some pages
don't display at all)
>From my konsole:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ thunderbird
(thunderbird-bin:24005): Pango-WARNING **: failed to create cairo sc
Found my problem, and fixed it too (not bad for the new kid on the
block, hehehehe :-)
a hidden folder : ~/home/.fonts
That folder all has symbolic links to the actual font files located in my fonts
repository folder.
2 Problems:
1) Some of the actual font files had become corrupted. (Specifica
