Public bug reported:

I have some javascript code that displays a custom "dialog" box, that
is, a DIV on top of a disabled DIV on top of the page (so as to create
the effect of a modal dialog box). The "dialog" has a number of text
fields.

When I click on any text field to enter some text, the cursor (displayed
as a bar) does not show starting from the beginning of the text until a
number of characters. Afterwards it shows again normally.

Example: xxxxxABCD cursor shows up again after the last x.

In some fields, I can only see a tiny part of the cursor. It gives the
appearance as if the cursor coordinate is miscalculated.

Additional information:
- Gutsy Gibbon (Ubuntu 7.10)
- Firefox 2.0.0.8
- Motherboard ASUS P5LD2-X with Intel Core Duo @ 2GHz
- Video card ATI Radeon
- Monitor ViewSonic E50cSB but detected as Plug n Play, 1024x768

Please let me know if you need more information.
Thanks.
