Wow, I had forgotten I filed this. But no, I have been running 9.04 and have
not seen this issue anymore. I was still running an 8.XX when I filed it but
had to revert to windows for awhile...I just managed to get Kubuntu back on
my machines recently and it seems to be running very well.

I installed Kubuntu and have this same issue. Many (but not all) letters
are italicized and appear "shaved" off on the right edge. Ill need to
double check settings at home before I can give any more detailed
information.

are broken (R is ok now but S is broken for example).
This problem is strange, although the text is not supposed to appear in
italics, some letters and digits appear in italics in the middle of a
normal text and gets cut out o
