Public bug reported:
On my system, I ran update-manager, which informed me I had broken
packages.
Digging into it, it wanted to install libgnome2-canvas-perl, which is
depended upon by libgnome2-perl, which is apparently depended upon by
something in ubuntu-desktop, but libgnomecanvas2 blocks it because it is
set to block << 1.002-1+b1, which apparently 1.002-1ubuntu1 fits.
Either way, it wanted to uninstall ubuntu-desktop and a large number of
important packages (firefox, rhythmbox, update-manager...) in order to
fix this.
