This has also happened to me since upgrading from 14.04 to 16.04 several months ago. It happens all too frequently, perhaps 1:5 to 1:8 resumes. I am running DWM, a dynamic tiling window manager, so perhaps the window manager running isn't important. I am up to date with updates. I'll dry the lat
