I cannot test the issue as I do not have the laptop any more but
unfortunately the issue persits on my new laptop (Dell Latitude E5470):
the working version is 4.4.0-59.80 but with 4.4.0-62.83 and next the
problem comes back. I will post a separate bug for it.

Can you see if this bug still happens with the latest 16.04 kernel? The
latest kernel is 4.4.0-58.79 and can be installed by applying the latest
updates.

4.4.0-47.68 in order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed
immediately by the first bad one. This will allow for a more expedited
