As mentioned in the Debian report, picocom 2.2-2 has been packaged and
is now available in Ubuntu Artful.
If you need a newer package version in previous versions of Ubuntu,
please follow the instructions for "Requesting a Backport" at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports#Requesting_a_Backport.
