Public bug reported: I don't know if Trusty LTS is still supported, but in case it is, it doesn't deal with VP9-in-IVF input correctly. When merging audio and video, the resulting webm video is unseekable because it does not detect keyframes. Including this patch ..
https://github.com/mbunkus/mkvtoolnix/commit/237cef35a08a2bf8d718a76f576ab51ff83e2741 .. should fix this in version 6.7.0, which appears to be the default in Ubuntu Trusty LTS. The bug is no longer present in the next LTS release (xenial), because version 8.8.0 includes the above patch already. ** Affects: mkvtoolnix (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1661236 Title: mkvmerge does not detect keyframes in VP9-in-IVF To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mkvtoolnix/+bug/1661236/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
