Would be great to put a slider to change the in-app volume before
running the app (because it may disturb everyone around the user)

Current behaviour is that volume buttons set the ringtone audio level, unless 
an app uses the sound system. Then it can set the in-app volume.
What about giving the user the choice to use the volume buttons to set only the 
in-app volume? Personally, I don't need to modify my ringtone volume quite 
often, so I would prefer the buttons to control the in-app volume.
