FWIW, I just finished installing Ubuntu Server 16.04.02 and then
upgrading it to the latest on Jan 11, 2018. I have a command line only
system (it is just a really basic firewall) and the keynel is logging
messages like this:

I went ahead and tried to file an upstream bug at bugzilla but apparently this
bug has previously been reported and fixed.

While waiting for any one of you guys to return, I'm going to go ahead
and test out the upstream kernel by downloading below files,

I've recently installed Ubuntu 16.04.2 Server Edition on DELL Poweredge
2950 and the syslog is filling up with,
"[drm:radeon_vga_detect [radeon]] *ERROR* VGA-1: probed a monitor but
no|invalid EDID"
above message every 10 sec.
Just reading through I noticed that Joseph Salisbury wanted reporter
[Expired for linux (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60
days.]
