Well, the package you mentioned were there, removed it and then
reinstalled, the whole thing is working now, thanks... But still,
uploads don't work because "there's no app for that", another problem to
solve...

Just installed all this, don't work... I noticed that uploads are not
possible as well, the last two lines of this output are attempts to
download and upload a file, respectively

Interesting. Indeed you shouldn't be affected by bug #1535666 if the
name of the Downloads folder is untranslated in pt-BR.
As for the log, can you please run webbrowser-app from a terminal and
capture the output and attach it here as a text file? Thanks!

And about the bug #1535666 i think is not the case, since the pt-BR
version of Ubuntu the folder name is called Downloads, we don't have a
100% accurate word for this in portuguese, so we don't translate it...

Could you please attach the log file for the application after browsing to
https://www.kernel.org/ and clicking the big yellow button? That log file is
located under ~/.cache/upstart/application-legacy-webbrowser-app-.log.
