Public bug reported: There is a bug report in Debian already: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=851810 Not sure whether it helps to report it here, so just to be sure.
Using Ubuntu 17.04 Beta with latest updates, no matter what is done with xcalib, there is the same error: "Error - unsupported ramp size 0" E.g. "xcalib -a -b .5" or "xcalib profile.icc". I use xcalib to adjust both gamma and brightness (i.e. the level of black, not brightness as in screen brightness). I haven't found any other way to do this with a laptop, so if you know any, please tell me. ** Affects: xcalib (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1677745 Title: Xcalib not working in any way To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xcalib/+bug/1677745/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
