Public bug reported: This bug is related to this question: https://askubuntu.com/questions/905348/really-disable-touchpad-over-the- button-region
Currently, on my laptop, I found no way of completely disabling the sensitive region over buttons (both movement and touch). Which means that if I use two hands: one to move, and one to click, as soon as my "click hand" touch (without clicking) the sensitive region over the buttons of my touchpad while moving, the pointer stops and the touchpad switch to the two-finger mode. It would be very nice to have an option, to COMPLETELY disable the sensitive region over buttons as if they were physically distinct, like on olders touchpads. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS Release: 16.04 Package version: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-hwe-16.04 1.8.3-1ubuntu1~16.04.1 ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1689005 Title: No way of completely disabling the sensitive zone over buttons To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1689005/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
