@Khurshid: If the stuff is deprecated and unmaintained, we have to
remove it. Otherwise we get stuck and cannot move forward and upgrade
other parts of the stack, like Qt in this case.

I believe we talked about keeping account-plugins in the repo for artful
cycle, so that apps which uses signon libraries can still use it while
porting away to something else. ?

right, we try to keep unity7 working as best as possible but we can't
hold on other work or keep unmaintained components in the archive
because of it so it's accepted that some features are going to be
missing in the new version

I like to mention that library for single signon, libaccounts-glib (and
libaccounts-glib-tools) provides a non gui method to get authentication
token from Google/Facebook on headless server. It is the only way to add
a google account without GUI.I am not sure if gnome-online-account

Shotwell was stuck on an old git snapshot for over a year (LP: #1581180)
because the UOA support was unmaintained and no one had the time or
ability to forward-port that support. That support has now been removed
and we'll finally get a supportable version of Shot
Will these be available on universe? Because many little applications
still depends on them? Shotwell works with UOA and flickr. Same for
empathy. Removal of UOA basically means removal of Unity7.
