I rebuilt a zesty d-i against proposed & tested on a HiSilicon D05
board. The NICs were properly labelled "Ethernet Onboard". See attached
screenshot.

For xenial, I tested d-i 20101020ubuntu451.12, which was built w/ netcfg
1.135ubuntu4.5, and the results look good there as well.

Accepted netcfg into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netcfg/1.135ubuntu4.5

Here's a trivial patch that addresses the issue for me. It cleanly
applies back to xenial (- the changelog of course).
