Public bug reported: libnuma from the numactl source package was MIR'd in LP: #891232, however the numactl binary is still in universe. I'd like to request that the numactl binary also be considered for main. I work with users of arm64 server platforms, where NUMA is increasingly common, and they find these tools useful for setting scheduling/placement policies.
Per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MainInclusionProcess: "If a new source package contains only code which is already in main (e.g., the result of a source package split or rename, or source packages with a version in the name), it may not need a full review. Submitting a bug with an explanation is sufficient." However, since the numactl binary package was presumably always part of the numactl source package, I'm not sure if the above exception applies. Let me know if more information, such as a full MIR report, is required. ** Affects: numactl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1700824 Title: [MIR] numactl (binary) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/numactl/+bug/1700824/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
