This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 41288 error_code 3 request_code 141 (Composite) minor_code 8) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) Trace/Breakpoint ausgelöst (Speicherabzug geschrieben) ----------------------------------------------------------- It is a fresh Ubuntu 16.04.2 install with nautilus 3.18.5 installed from launchpad in the hope the crashes from nautilus 3.18.3 will disappear. It seems nautilus relies on the samba package but did not install it. ~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Release: 16.04 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1708661 Title: Nautilus 3.18.5 crashes when dragging icons on the desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1708661/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
