are not so interested in getting this analysed and fixed?

Why should this have changed. This anoying bug is existing since 15.10
and even if there are several tickets nobody funkin cares!

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.13 kernel[0].
