Further information after applying the suggested changes:
After inserting "sudo apt-get install -f" an error message was returned as:
/var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-3.19.0-84-generic_3.19.0-84.92 i386.deb
I then applied the second command of: "sudo apt-get clean". No error message.
I then

You may need to run the following from a terminal:
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package or updates.
