Public bug reported: 17.10 beta has issues with remembering display settings. Whenever I connect my external monitor, I have to change my preferred setup (only external display active) and preferred resolution. I've to do this multiple times a day and it is quite frustrating.
I'm running Ubuntu 17.10 on an XPS 13 laptop. My external monitor is a 4k LG connected via the USB type-c port. I don't remember this being a problem before 17.10 shipped Gnome 3.26 so probably that's where the bug comes from. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721140 Title: Ubuntu 17.10 beta does not remember display settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1721140/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
