Public bug reported:

Clean install, did not do anything special, formatted my drive and went
on with installing.

Old system were debian9 with legacy bios boot (non uefi)
Booted this from USB pendrive as UEFI and began installing. got the warning 
about dualbooting but i dismissed it.

removed all partitions on my drive and created a single partition of 110GB 
(120GB drive) and selected mounting point.
- take note, no swap partition.

right in the end i got the message about not able to write grub. and
then this bug report started.
