I tried that too, to no avail. I just double check what I did. Tried some different possiblities like ad\username which does not work at all ( prompts for password three times and fails) or ad/username also does not work at all (same as above) logon and NTLM/SPA both receive the same error

I thought I could duplicate this today because I had a call from someone who also could not send while using Evolution in the office. To make a long story short, I deleted the account in Edit - Preferences and then added the account again and it worked ... fortunately for him but unfortunately

Do you receive mail? Yes I recieve mail over SSL encrypted IMAP connection outgoing server does not require encryption and authentication and would not work if so configured. Try changing that. Nope we're using encrypted transport for smtp. I tried about every combo I could think of. On Feb 7,
