What I did was, that I inserted the "-n" option into the Exec line of /lib/systemd/system/rpc-gssd.service. That did the trick! Now the follow-up question: where does the $GSSDARGS variable in the systemd rpc-gssd.service definition come from? I was under the impression, that it should be defined

The same thing here. This time: Ubuntu Server 18.04 with nfs-kernel- server 1.3.4-2.1ubuntu5 my exports file: /export *(rw,fsid=0,crossmnt,insecure,no_root_squash,sync,no_subtree_check,sec=krb5p:krb5i:krb5) Mount works, authentication works, port mapping works. root user still cannot do
