I confirm this observation. I never saw this issue in Ubuntu main
edition that uses the GNOME daemon.

Someone discussed about this issue on the Chromium bugs list, and
thinking that it might be a Chromium issue, I raised the problem again.
It appears to be an issue with the daemon itself.
