Public bug reported: I have a strange bug in Kubuntu 7.10. I have set monitor resolution in systemsettings to 1280x960 in both normal user mode and in root mode. For some reason kubuntu behaves strangely in the login screen. If I wait some seconds in the login screen before logging in, the monitor goes into power save mode after just few seconds. And then when I log in the desktop is in 2048x1536 pixels though the monitor shows only ~800x600 part of the desktop. After logging out and logging back in this problem goes usually away.
Also changing the screen resolution in the settings has no affect before logging out and logging back in. I use nvidia driver in xorg... ** Affects: kde-systemsettings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Too big screen resolution on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173704 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
