Hi, I have not hit this agaoin on Ubuntu 18.04; perhaps it has been
fixed. I will let you know if I notice this on any of my current
installations.

If this is reproducible and if your machine allows and if this still
happens in 3.28, could you provide valgrind logs? Something like:
