I added a quirk for libinput to fix this issue, until the fix is merged

This bug is not fixed in newer version. I checked with other distro like
deepin and it doesn't happen. I also checked outside OS like in BIOS and
it doesn't happen too

My computer was under warranty (brand new) so I had the

Linux distributions like newest versions of debian or manjaro too - both
Gnome and KDE). Nevertheless it's working fine on Windows 10.
Is there any known solution to this problem? It seems that the touchpad
is a certified one
I have tested upstream kernel v4.16-rc4 and can confirm the problem
persists. However I managed to borrow another Latitude E7440 and for the
time I had access to that laptop I could not reproduce the problem.
Therefore I have to conclude that it is a hardware problem, not a
software one.

prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
