my wireless with this card stopped this morning. I can see networks in
nm-applet but when it goes to connect it spins forever. Wired
connections work fine.

Please check if you don't boot into -386 kernel. I had similiar problem
and removing -386 kernel and booting into -generic solved it.
Nevertheless it shouldn't happen ;)

sound is Realtek ALC262 and does not work when wireless is working.
