Found upstream discussion: https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=12138 Apparently the problem is caused because xfce4-power-manager migrated to upower, which has only empty, caution, low, good, and full icon themes. That's 3 states + a caution + empty. IMO that's too few. And yes, the icon
