Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted the installer in EFI mode. A warning message prompted you that this could be a problem and recommended performing a bios mode install instead, but you chose not to. You either need to perform the bios mode install, or

When installing the boot loader, grub-install could not find the EFI partition. WHen setting up the partitioning for your system you will need to tell the installer to mount (but NOT format) the parition under /boot/efi/. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI#Creating_an_EFI_System_Partition

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross
