Public bug reported: Same problem (Image freezes after a view seconds) with several devices connected to several notebooks / PCs.
Tested Capture Devices: * Elgato Cam Link- https://www.elgato.com/de/gaming/cam-link * Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 - http://www.magewell.com/usb-capture-hdmi * XCSOURCE HDV-UH 60 - http://www.hdcvt.com/index.php/product/des?id=165 Problem occurs with * Ubuntu 16.04.4 * Ubuntu 18.04 Earlier versions of Ubuntu don't have this problem. Test where done with a variety of applications: OBS Studio, Cheese and more. Tested signal is 1920x1080, 50p from a "Sony CX405 Handycam". The whole hardware setup is used regularly.
