To be honest that's not a bad idea, thanks for the tip as I never would
have thought to look for a snap.
There are some caveats but I think I can live with them as long as
Amazon keeps good care of the snap. Synchronizing the "real" package
with cosmic/sid from time to time would be nice as well.
Consider using the aws-cli snap. It is updated by aws and tracks the
latest version. As of today it is at 1.15.63:
