Hi Doug - wow this original bug report was a long time ago! I don't think
i have ever had to do this same action again, but thanks for letting me
know the solution.

If I enter an email address and press enter, then press F2 I can edit the
address in the cell not the status bar where it remains highligted. If I star

(the only possible workaround is for me to disable Tools->AutoCorrect
Options->Options->URL recognition, and Format->Clear direct Formatting to
un-URL-ize old cells email.)

The other annoying little bit is that if you click on the cell with the
email address it will automatically try to compose an email.
