Public bug reported: Touchpad of Yoda2 doesn't work well via PS/2 mode, most time the data is lost sync via PS/2.
I have made a patch in upstream/Ubuntu 4.15/4.13 kernels to force touchpad using SMBus mode. SMBus mode requires i2c-i801 kernel module which is in modprobe blacklist in Ubuntu 18.04/16.04. User has to remove i2c-i801 manually. i2c-i801 in blacklist is a very old workaround to fix HP compaq nc6000 (Bug #10306), this module should be removed from blacklist. ** Affects: hwe-next Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: kmod (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: ubuntu => kmod (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1786574 Title: remove i2c-i801 from blacklist To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1786574/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
