I'm running Hardy A2 upgraded from 7.10 x64
I have not changed any of the sound event defaults or sound system.
if I go to system > pref > sound , none of the event sounds play even if
i change them test and change them back.
all the event sounds in pidgin work and rhythimbox works too
the wave files in /usr/share/sounds play as well as the liked ones too
